Quilting 101 Cost: $65
This Class is a 6 Session Course
Time: 6pm to 8:30pm
Tuesdays, August 12th, 19th, 26th, Sept 9th, 16th & 23rd

For those of you who have basic sewing skills,
and have always wanted to make a quilt, but
have been intimidated to do so without someone to
teach & guide you as you begin, that time has arrived !
This will be a 6 session course for the beginning quilter.
You will learn all the basic skills by the time
you have completed the 6 sessions.
Session #1 will be an introduction to quilting,
with focus on choosing fabrics, proper tools, etc.
Then you will begin to make a different sampler block
in the remaining 5 sessions. When all blocks are completed
you will have what is known as a sampler quilt.
Your sampler quilt can then be used as a wall-hanging
or table topper.

Military Sit n Sew
Time: 5pm to 7:30pm
Beginning Tuesday, September 30th
Following Tuesdays will be the 4th Tuesday of the month
This is a special sit n sew for anyone who has family or friends
serving in any branch of the military, & especially for those
who's family member (s) or friends are presently deployed
in Afghanistan or Iraq. As a military mom, I feel it is important
to have support groups to help us through these trying times.
We will be meeting once a month in the evening, bring whatever
project you would like to work on, or if you just want to sit & be
among those you can relate to for the evening's sit n sew, please
mark your calander for the 4th Tuesday evening of the month.

2008 Block of the Month Club
Our
2008 Block of the Month will be a sampler quilt designed by Lori Smith, of
From my heart to your hands, called "Quilted Sampler" .
The monthly kit cost will be $12.00, this does not include the pattern cost
of $8.00. The club fee is $25.00 for the year. Kit's are available for
pick-up from the shop on the 1st weekend of each month, & for those who
would like to work on this project in-shop, we will be meeting the 2nd
Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm. You can view this quilt at Lori's

Scrapple Club 2008
Meets the 4th Weds of the month at
6:30 pm Cost: Initial fee of $15
Do you have tons of scraps ? Don't know what to do with them ? Not sure how
to organize these precious bits ? Not sure that your scraps will make an
eye-pleasing quilt ? Come and join us each month and learn to use those
overwhelming piles of scrap and learn to create beautiful quilts with them !
Club will continue to meet on the 4th Wednesday eve of the month, fee $5

“Civil War Diary Quilts” Sit ‘n Sew
Meets 2nd Tuesday of the Month from 1 – 3 p.m. Fee: $5 per month
Share the afternoon with fellow quilters who are working on their “Civil War
Diary Quilts.” If you are unfamiliar with this book, Rosemary Youngs
combines her quilt block patterns with actual diary entries of those on both
the North and the South. This ’sit ‘n sew’ group is very informal. Whether
you are making the entire quilt or just a few blocks make plans to join us.

Community Quilting
Meets 1st Friday of the Month from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Beginners and seasoned quilters alike are invited to attend monthly
workshops to make quilts for those in need. Join us for an hour or stay the
day. Bring your machine and/or basic quilting supplies; fabric and patterns
will be provided. This is a great opportunity to make new friends and share
ideas while working on a special quilt.

Dear JaneŽ Club
Meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 1 to 3 p.m.
Tuition: $15 per
month
Whether you are just beginning a Dear JaneŽ quilt or you would like the
support and encouragement of other “Janes” in bringing your quilt to
completion, this is the club for you! This club is instructional by design.
Each month two blocks and/or triangles are featured and demonstrated. At
each club meeting your accomplishments are recognized, you have the
opportunity to share completed blocks (show & tell) and tips you found
helpful in completing your blocks. Advance registration and a minimum of 3
